I got Club Africa on Strut which was kind of a sequel to Africa Funk on
Harmless, both compiled by (the legendary) Russ Dewbury. I think there
are a few words on the Club Africa cover which thank the people at
Harmless and those who helped set up Strut i.e. the guy (Quentin I
think?) decided to set up his own label. Looks like a pretty good job so
far as well.

I agree about the Rufus track. I played that over and over when we first
got
it. I think that album is almost worth buying just for that cut. What
more
do you want to know about Strut? Besides the Grassroots record they've
done
a nice compilation put together by DJ Pogo and an album by the Lafayette
Afro Band. They are VERY similiar to the label Harmless (the people
behind
the Pulp Fusion compilations).

I just got Grass Roots a couple of weeks ago and CANNOT take track 3
(Rufus with Chaka Khan),4 (Rare Pleasure) and 5 (Four Below Zero) off of
repeat. I'd love to see more of these compilations out there - does
anyone have any more info on the Strut label?
