Yeah, I got the Kenny Dope 7" (from Dirk, actually :)
I think it's a nice effort, on the same lines as the Desco stuff - 100%
retro sound funk - but I dont think the track is outstanding.. definitely a
good listen and an interesting addition to the collection..

Another very good one on BBE is Funk Spectrum compiled by DJ Shadow himself
(who gets a one strike for not listing the full track info). All three Keb
Darge Deep Funk compilations are very good. The Patrick Forge Stop & Listen
is very nice as well. Has anyone checked out the new Kenny Dope 7" (Can You
Handle It?)? Any opinions?

I've picked up every Easy Listening comp I can find--got hip from JC at
Release the Groove in London. Just need 4-6 or so.

I've got Volume 4 that's got some cool stuff, but, mostly I bought it for
the great piano from Nina Simone on side 3.

Well, get his "Lengendary Deep Funk", that would be a more appropriate for
getting funky breaks, sorry about stating the obvious, but, it was his funk
stuff that I had heard of, and I now need to search out the other cool
stuff on BBE records.
