So today is the winter solstice, and there's some
crazy lunar ting a`gwan...it's gonna be crazy bright
outside tonight. Supposedly headlights will be
redundant. This hasn't happened in like 133 yrs, and
won't happen again for another 100-odd. AND, if that
weren't enough, it's the last full moon before 2000.

Good timing, I think, to hand out good holiday tidings
and say thanks. I joined the list--oh how cute!--
around the time of the summer solstice, a bit earlier
than that, and I've really learned a lot. I had some
definite musical goals at that point, places I wanted
to explore, and this list has been invaluable in
helping me get there. My record collection has had a
growth spurt and it is markedly more beautiful and
diverse than it was before. I've also met some great
people through this list. I'm constantly impressed
with the variety of taste and opinion, coupled with
consistantly high standards. It's a great resource
and a very comfortable environment where you can ask a
simple question without being treated like an ass
(thanks for the MMMorris info!!), and maybe put out
some unusual opinions (for ex: country music isn't so
bad!!) and not be chastised. Of the lists I've
subscribed to over the years, this is definitely one
of my favorites.

Well, that's it, hope the season is bright for
everyone. Don't forget to look up tonight!!
