Well, found both CD singles at Tower and can't stop playing them--the
second also has the video that's really good, in a lamb sort of way. Have
to say, I've got to find their album, and not wait a year like last time.
My favorite mixes are their own lounge mix, and the Herbalizer
mix--reminicent of their live band stuff on "Very Mercenary", really cool.
Also the Goreki Global Communication remix is pretty good, on the
breakbeat/d'n'b tip. Any word on a Domestic release?

Other purchases (a favorite store is closing: The Groovesmith in Palo Alto,
CA--got the Massive Attack CD singles for $54, The Metalheaz Platnium
Breakz limited boxed set vinyl was there as of Friday), tosca, finally, and
Superrappin' on CD,
the freestylers--like 'here we go', 'b-boy stance', 'rock on', the 'Breaker
Beats Part 1' has some great beats, granted it's the promo so I got it for
$3, others include the
LTJ Bukem mixmag mix--good 'atmospheric' d'n'b continuos mix, also got the
No Categories 2 from Ubiquity--listening to it now, hey 20% off might as
well pick it up considering the good hype on the list, also the
Snooze sampler--full length, "The Man In The Shadows" out Domestically
great spy grooves, and the
808state singles collection--gratefull that the Azure single is on their
(TRACK 14-Louise Rhodes of lamb on vocals), I do already have the d'n'b
remix 12" of Pacific.
On vinyl I got the Chems, "exit planet dust" and "dig your own
hole"--classic breakbeat,
on the be-bop tip Oliver Nelson's "More Blues and the Abstract Truth"--on
heavy vinly, 'The Critic's Choise' great groovin' track, and Eric Dolphy's
"Outward Bound"--not nearly 'out' as one would suspect--with Freddie
Hubbard blowin' some good tunes, and also onto
filling out my Dub cataloge The Scientist's "Scientific Dub", and Mad
Professor's "Dub Me Crazy 7"
New stuff on vinly is:
Scaramanga "Seven Eyes, Seven Horns"--NYC getting back from a lull, and,
Slick Rick "The Art of Storytelling"--back in old form with some great beats.
And picked up the ming & fs on tape--a future primitive soundsessions live
in Chicago, also got Shawow's "Entroducing..." for the car.

Also I've got the Citizen King 'Better Days (and the bottom drops out)'
playing a lot and was wondering what their full length was like? the
second track on the CD single has a more hip hop underground flavor,
especially with the Pirate DJ sample.
