Cash in your savings bonds, break open your piggy bank, empty out your trust
fund and max out those credit cards because this week there are so many
great new records your gonna need every last dime you can get your hands on!

This week’s new releases and restocks are now posted on our website
(www.groovedis.com). By Monday afternoon there should be at least a couple
of new charts in the Charts section and hopefully at least one short mix in
the Listening Booth featuring some of this week’s great new tunes. We are
also now offering a $50 reward for help in filling our two open positions
(see below, under Help Wanted, for details).

The highlights this week (11/22/99) are:

Acid Jazz/Trip Hop: new Aim 12” with Rae & Christian remixes and a non-LP
b-side, lots of French DJ Cam represses in stock, new “promo only” Dust Bros
EP featuring 6 tracks from the Fight Club soundtrack, Rae & Christian and
the Runaways remix Emilian Torrini’s new single “Baby Blue”, killer new
vocal single from the Freakniks (also incls 2 instrumentals), the latest of
the Robin Jones remix 12”s is released this time with Fretless AZM twisting
the knobs, Kitty Bronx EP on Junior feats 6 tracks that range from trip hop
to house –and they all rock!, new Mr. Dan 12” on Dust 2 Dust,and the
Plaid/Autechre-styled Pilote album on Certificate 18 is now in.

Drum ‘n’ Bass: Amar prod by Nitin Sawhney and featuring an Origin Unknown
Remix, Deep Blue & Tertius 12” on Partisan (no. 1 on Alex C’s D&B Chart in
DJ Mag), Krust album is on sale for one day only ($45.00 for the 6 record
set down from $57.00!!--and V.I.P. discounts DO apply), restocks on all the
Pressure Rise singles, the new Total Science 12”, and all three Second Skin
Skinful compilations in stock this week on vinyl.

House: an incredibly soulful new white label from Victor Davies (watch your
back Terry Callier!) with a new mix of the track “Runaway Train” originally
available on the People Sampler 12”, speaking of People the new KV5 single
on People is out this week and it’s their most dancefloor friendly release
in ages, Neon Phusion drop their full length album on Laws Of Motion-it’s an
afro latin house explosion!, Nitin Sawhney gets the two-step garage
treatment along with a soulful house remix from KV5, new Romanthony 12” on
Glasgow Underground, from France comes white labels of StarPhunk (aka Darryl
Pandy and Ce Ce Rogers!), gospel deep house from Chili Funk by UC Heights
(remixed by East West), and the new Ascension compilation with past singles
by Funky Lowlives, Jammy Dodgers and more (LP only this week, CD next week).

Nu Skool Breaks: the Capoeira Twins 12” is finally released (on the label
run by the man behind the Dope On Plastic compilations), Environmental
Science’s hot new single on Bi-Partisan is in (and reportedly this breaks
record can be played by drum & bass deejays too), red hot on white label we
now have copies for sale of Finger Lickin’s new single by the Plump Djs (aka
Cut & Paste), and the “Pantaloon” 12” by Spoon Wizard (you’ve probably never
heard of him, but it’s the no. 3 single on DJ’s Beats Chart).
