    Hi acid-jazz addicted,
My name is Christophe aka dj collision. I live and play in London. I write
as well articles and record reviews for an American music mag.

I have 2 questions for you:

    1. do you know any good music mag in japan (eg straight no chaser, wire,
xlr8r...). If yes, thanks for providing phone number + e-mail address or web
    site.

    2. do you know how can I contact Victor records in Japan. This label is
brilliant (I have some of their vinyls through imports). I can't find
anything on the net except Japan Victor Cy, the HI FI manufacturer...

    Thanks guys.
By the way, feel free to give a look at my weekly charts down below:
    weekly chart - 10 April 2000
1 (NEW) Mark de Clive-Lowe, Six Degrees - Universal
    Jazz+hip-hop+house+Latin= remarkable groovy sonic stew.

2 Saint Etienne, How We Used To Live - Mantra
The Dot Allison mix is my favourite with its Chic-esque piano and jazzy
    double bass.

3 (NEW) Natural Calamity, And That’s Saying A Lot - Nuphonic
It sounds like Dusty Springfields on Breakbeats... wicked!

4 Kinobe, Good Migrations ep - Pepper
On the beach with orchestral strings and bolero tempo... next summer hit?

5 (NEW) Incognito, Get Into My Groove - Talkin’ Loud
Jazzanova supplies a refined funky breakbeat remix (better at pitch - 6%).

6 Kyoko Koizumi, Drivin’ Nite - Victor
Can’t resist those japanese vocals, especially when 4Hero provides an
    electro/breakbeat/Restlessoul-esque deep house remix.

7 BMT vs. Erykah Badu, You Got Me - ...
The drum pattern smoothly moves along Erykah’s voice. It’s subtle, jazzy and
    groovy.

8 Innerzonne Orchestra, People make the world go round - Planet e
A great tune soulfully remixed by Moodymann at his best .

9 Appleseed, pimpin’ in Sao Paulo - Kingsize
When deep house meets smooth latin beats.

10 (NEW) Soldiers of Twilight, Take U There - Serial
The dub version is a great deep house production with garage bassline and
    vocals.

11 Phil Asher, Plash - Estereo
Four finely produced house tracks. My favourite being those jazzy deep ones.

12 Box Saga, Positive Sweat - Blue
Wicked funky electroniic music with jazzy drum programming.

13 (NEW) ESG, Mood - Universal Sound
It’s good to be back in the 80s.

14 Republic 61, The Dawn - Straight Up
Perfect balance between deep US house and the now famous French touch.

    15 Super-A-Loof, The Sky ep - Exceptional
Caution: This happens rarely: electro beats that are not dark but jazzy and
funky! Many thanks to Kirk Degiorgio & Jamie O’Dell.

16 Up, Bustle & Out, Hip Hop Barrio - Ninja Tune
Favourite track: the strangely muffled salsa “Descarga con Cafe”

17 Capsule, Parismatic Sampler - Catskills
Lo-Fi Disco/Funk from a weird planet between France and Germany.

18 Various, Jazzland remixes - Jazzland
Is the future of Jazz in Norway? I am ready to bet.

    19 Andres, Reality - KDJ
Minimalistic house production with a disco-like sample

20 Santessa, Eyes on You - Disco Volante
Looking forward to hear once in my life an average 4Hero remix - Here it’s
once again brilliant, especially percussion/keyboard production and string
    arrangements.
