    It's one of his greatest; next to no "funk", per se, though. The
    opening cut, "The Plum Blossom", is one of my favorite pieces of
    music in any style; Lateef plays the Chinese globular flute, which
    only has five notes &, like the liners say, sounds like a pop bottle.
    And the emotion he can squeeze through even such a limited instrument
    is a wonder to hear.
