I was talkin' with some cats on the Roots' website
about this after I read a review ?uestlove did on the
group's LP. Basically, the only word I got was that
the label went down the road with them a bit and then
dropped them by the curb. From what I hear, there's
some white labels floating around or something like
that, but nothin else.
Jay Dee of Slum Village is doing production for
Common's new album. In fact, Com was in Detroit last
week laying down tracks with him.
According to ?uestlove, Slum Village is the reason
he's staying in hip-hop right now (yeah right, that
and the money!), so I can't believe that some label
won't pick them up.
   Anyone know anymore?
