woohoo, got my jill scott promo from hidden beach (on
cd...pout) and it's styley!! she's got a really
strong fluid voice and the soul/r&b lyrics flow like
jello before you put it in the fridge. so far, nice
humorous kick, clever wording, rich engineering (nice
non-gratuitous panning, clean sounds, etc)
wait..."loose like bowels after collard greens?" ok,
she just lost a couple points. uh oh, here's a boring
slowed down go-go sounding track. but it's still real
clean sounding and nice and very smooth. a bit
oppressively heterosexual, but hey ya can't please all
of the queers all of the time. i'd prolly buy the record.
