I've had little luck on any search engines, and as far as I know, it's not
available on any CD's (compilations, reissues, etc). I did find out that
it's from the "Unlock The Funk" LP, which doesn't seem terribly rare, and
    shouldn't be too expensive either.

I never realized that this tune had been sampled so heavily, but I heard
someone play this original track the other night, and it was almost
_exactly_ the same as the Basement Jaxx "cover". There's one thing about
taking a sample and transforming it into something completely different
(premier), but it's something else altogether when you just flat out sample
the whole song (puff daddy). And it does disappoint me when someone samples
a classic song and makes some cheesy mainstream pop hit out of it,
bastardizing the original track (jennifer lopez - feeling so good [soul
    makossa]).

On a side note, I was thinking today that it would be great to have a
house/acidjazz/etc sample faq, similar to the one for hip hop. I'm really
just dying to think of some use for www.souljazz.com (I've been trying to
learn PHP, HTML, and web design so I can put up an acidjazz "what I'm
listening to" type page, but the progress is slow)
    Adam
