Actually, Sigur Rós is not one person but four. Their LP ("Ægatis
Byrjun") was AFAIK the best selling record in Iceland last year. They're
internationally distributed by Fat Cat (UK). They toured also recently
with Godspeed You Black Emperor (for those of you who know this possibly
the greatest "rock" band of all time) and I think their style is very
much like GYBE's, except that whereas GYBE plays instrumentals, songs by
Sigur Rós usually have lyrics in Icelandic or "Hopelandish", which is a
language they've made up by themselves.
I got my own copy (vinyl) from the local indie rock record shop (who
also stock dance music) called Stupido Twins, but I'd imagine such shops
worldwide stock it. It has been released in UK but don't know about the
    US..
