I personally love the playlists, keep 'em coming everyone. Like Denise and
others have said, they are a great way to find out about new releases, and
I also like seeing the connections that other people make between different
    tracks.

Anyway, while I'm here, three disks that I have tracked down recently are
    totally rockin my fricken world:
Theo Parrish -- Methods of Movement
Theo Parrish/Sound Signature -- Parallel Dimensions
Theo Parrish/Sound Signature -- Sound Signature Sounds

_Methods of Movement_ is a mix cd done by Theo at the end of last year, and
it is one of the best mix cds I've ever heard, if not *the* best. It
ranges from a couple of his own tech-house tracks and other electronic
things, to old funk/soul/disco, and even 'acid jazz' things like Outside
and Incognito show up! Really nicely selected and mixed from vinyl, and he
rides the eq hard in some parts to make it all even more interesting. Wow!

_Parallel Dimensions_ is the album of new tracks, some of which have
appeared previously as 12"s on the Sound Signature label. "Summertime is
Here" (which did come out on a 12", with a small print run) has got to be
one of the best things I've picked up in the last year or so -- freaky
downtempo track with swirling loops, abstract vocals, and some sax bubbling
away underneath almost on a Sun Ra tip. A ten minute trip (and I noticed
argo had it on one of his playlists recently! :-)). I think it's prolly
the best track on the album, but there's heaps of other good shit.
'Parallel Dimensions' nicely sums up the approach ... the tracks are really
uniquely constructed, different parts and loops which run in parallel
capturing your attention at different moments to create movement. Very
    low-fi too!

_Sound Signature Sounds_ is a compilation of various tracks that have
appeared on the Sound Signature label over the last few years. Less of the
organic kinda sounds that pop up on _Parallel Dimensions_, in a more techno
vein I guess -- not that there's anything wrong with that! 'Dance of the
Drunken Drums' is a fricken masterpiece. The whole comp is even
    cruchier-sounding than _Parallel Dimensions_.

Anyway, they have been hard to find, but IMHO are worth the effort (big up
to p-dogg for doing the dirty work for me...)!! Some places to check
on-line would be rush-hour from the netherlands (email: info@rushhour.nl),
or record time in theo's home town of detroit (I think www.recordtime.com).
Please note: I haven't bought stuff from either of these places so can't
    vouch for them....

    peace all,
    Kurt
