Acutally, ROTFL, LOL, and 'IM ME' can all be traced to AOL. As every
net-eletist will tell you, these are inherently uncool, and should be
    shunned.

Emoticons :), :(, ;), and their ilk, although their heritage is blurrier
that the AOL blunders, are also considered bad form by by people who pride
themselves on having ARPA-NET accounts 'before you were born'.

Confusingly, IMO, IMHO, BTW, and the ever popular AFAIK, are considered to
be superior acronyms, and are 'de-rigeur' for the discerning net-snob.

    WIALTRN (you figure it out...)
    Sinewave - Interplanetary Ridicule
Truby Trio - the A Go Go remix 12"
Sigur Ros - the 12" of (spelling may be incorrect...) Svefn-G-Englar
    Amelie Poulain - Soundtrack
