Sheila Chandra is dope. It's certainly AJ related, because her work has
influenced many AJ artists.
Check out her album H20, it's an old one (circa 1982), and then there's
another one called "weaving my ancestor's voices" or maybe that's just a
song title, but whatever album that's on is also really good.
She's got chock full of dope samples in her work, but apparently I heard
that she's really anti-sampling and doesnt like it when producers use her
incredible vocal meanderings on top of their beats.
