Just can't seem to get away from 'em, can you? I have very
limited night-club experience, but as a radio host, i've
got hundreds (and I'm sure all of the hosts on this list do
as well) of stories of completely inane callers. Despite
the fact that my show's on a alternative radio station, it
never fails that some idiot wants me to play the
latest/greatest hit from "insert lamest group you can think
of here" and give a shout out to his homies, B-Dogg and
Ass-Master Fred chillin' at the hizz-ouse. Give me break -
You know they own the cd already, and are plenty able to
use the phone to call their friends. I'm sure we could
start a never ending thread (maybe there's already been
    one) of idiot callers/listeners.

A friend was relating what he considered to be one of the
best pieces of advice given to him for club dj's: Always
have one line which is basically hooked up to nothing.
That way, when some idiot comes along complaining that the
bass is too strong, or volume is to low, or whatever, you
can twiddle knobs on that channel 'til the cows come home
in order to please the guy, but not really affect anything
else. Problem solved. I've never tried it, but it seems
like a pretty sound idea to me.
