    Jason

Talvin has actually produced the latest release from the Master Musicians, rather than remixed them although there is one remix track on the disc that I have. You should check it out, it is worth a listen I think although it is to some degree a watering down of their core sound. the addition of Bachir Attar is a nice one since he is an amazing musician!

I love this album! Talvin Singh has done it up pretty well, not overstating his case and not being too obtrusive with the bells and whistles, for anyone who has even a vague interest in modern music, this is worth checking out. It also gives an idea of where Brian Jones really was since he was the first Western musician to recognize this group. I saw them live at the Paradiso in Amsterdam many years ago and the experience was nothing less than breathtaking! I recommend this album highly!

Now I'm confused-- Talvin Singh has remixed the Master Musicians?

Primal, earth-shattering Ur-music of the highest order. According to their mythos, when they stop playing as a unit the world will end. Which is unfortunate, since all the western star treatment has apparently gone a long way towards breaking the core unit up....
