    Greetings:

If any of you are from Atlanta, I have just started a new music promotion and
discussion e-group called AtlantaJazz, and I would like to invite anyone from
the Southeast to become a member.

Jazz music encompasses a great deal of diversity, and this site will
hopefully embrace it all -- from be-bop to trip-hop, from rag to Afro-Cuban,
from traditional artists to break-beat DJs, from jazz infused hip-hop to
ambient World grooves, from jazz-rock and funk fusion to acid / soul jazz and
    beyond.

This is an e-group for musicians, patrons, aficionados, and enthusiast of
Jazz in the Atlanta area. The purpose of this group is to promote discuss,
support and encourage the proliferation of jazz  within the city of Atlanta.
So -- if you are a musician who has an upcoming gig, or hopes to find a gig
in the city of Atlanta. . .use this group to shamelessly promote yourself.

I will likewise be using this group to promote bands, concerts, CD's, and
little known artists (local and international) that are playing in the area.
. .or that I hope to bring to Atlanta.

If you happen to be a fan or enthusiast. . .feel free to share and discuss
your thoughts, feelings, favorites, and reviews with the group.  It will also
be nice (not to mention convenient) to have a place to tell people of similar
taste what's up -- who's playing, when and where.

You may visit and join at any time.
You may choose whether or not to receive any e-mail . . . you do not have to
receive e-mail to belong to this club.
If you do choose to receive e-mail, you have options -- you can choose to
receive individual e-mails, or a daily digest.

So. . .come on in and jam with the one e-group in Atlanta under a jazz groove.
