    1. Try re-booting every so often.

    2. Make sure thats the one and only app you're running at that time
    (apart from the OS, obviously).

    3. To change your memory settings go to :

    Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> System -> Performance (Tab)
    -> Virtual Memory

    I'd then specify that you want to select your own settings and
    imput 512Mb for both the Min and Max amounts (this optimises
    paging - essential to keep things moving when you're using very
    large files.
