The Track Listing for The Audio (in)Fusion 6*30*01

    Artist- Title-Mix- Label
reviews in italics/weeks in rotation in a row-if no number it means first
week or just played that evening after a long hiatus
    12am-
Boss Nostra featuring Brunna Loppez-Chico Desperado- AT Jazz IrmaUnlimited/
Soul Drummers-Space and Time-Restless Soul Galaxy Mix- Afro Art
    Bjork- White Label
this track is nice and very fun. The bass line is jumpy and quirky without
coming off cheesy. The vocals in the mix are layered in the background
enough with out overpowering the groove but still very noticeable. /1
Miguel Migs-the soul selecta ep- bump selecta- nrk
another classic from the man who is defining a sound that is capturing
dancefloors everywhere. The ragga vocal and dubby bassline lends to chill
out feel of this song while keeping the energy up. All track on this EP are
incredible. I cannot wait for his full length to come out on Naked Music./3
    -doitagain
    BS-White label-
Q-Burns handed me this mix I believe to Britney Spears. I do not care....
the beat and melody are excellent. Real chunky and hip hop like break downs
make it a nice track to play with. I want doubles.
DJ Who- I like It- (2 step off dub)-
DJ Who has done it again. Pitched down this track is the bomb. Oy I love
the filtered vocal and the beats make me remember why I like to dance.
    Definitely a winner./2
    Gaelle- Rain-Original Mix-Naked Music-
this track is really bouncy without coming off like a light two step track
but real smooth to transition if you needed.
What can I say about this label except that I pick up everything they put
out. I want to get a flat service for an entire year and not have to worry
if the new release is sold out. Wassup??/1
Nite: Life 06 mixed by Ian pooley-Yan Fontaine open your eyes NRK/2
St. Germain- So Flute- Rose Rouge Spiller Rouge mix-Blue Note-1
nice mix of the original song which I thought could not be topped. I liked
the simple melody that repeats itself without becoming redundant and it
    mixes so well with
    DJ DEEP-respect is Burning-The Warning-
lovely intro and great violin line makes this song so beautiful. /4

1am- Can you tell what one of my favorite labels is.
    Farid- Crowd Control- ESL
I got doubles of this fine release by one of the owners of the 18th Street
Lounge. His unique use of that famous vocal is perfect.
    Desmod Williams-Brooklyn Blues- ESL
The engineer for the label breaks out with two EPs that solidify the sound of
    the lounge once again.
Thunderball- Heart of the Hustler ESL
These guys with the rest of thier label mates can do no wrong. Once again I
have to play this band. The right on sound for all.
Jazzanova- Fedimes flight- Kyoto jazz Massive- Compost Recordings
This a great remix for one of my all time favorite tracks. Nice and mellow
Breakestra-456-The Live Mix Part 2-stones throw
I played the entire double LP of this phenomenal release. It has everything
you would want in a live recording. Good beats and nothing gets tired. When
I opened up the phone lines...this album had the most calls all night long.
I want to see these guys live. /1
    Spam All Stars-NYC LATIN #
DJ Le Spam from Miami takes his funky soul and Latin mixes to NYC every month
and this is one of the recordings from his electrifying sets. Playing
samples and obscure 45's his loose knit band is tight. Hopefully they will
be playing in Baltimore soon. /1

    2am _LP HOUR
    Maue Malli- Blind Science-Party-TOKOL
This LP is real funky almost house, almost funk. Downtempo at its best/2
Trip DO Brasil 2- Alex Kid featuring Jerome Badini- Trindade-Sony Music
this entire LP rocks I want to play it all the time. With some of the beats
being closer to house and the melodies light I can bring these songs into
almost any set. DJ spinna mix is strange but nice ./4
    Angel-No Gravity- Baltimore-SuperCrucial Recordings-
A great follow-up to 60 Channels. This one picks up where the last one left
off. Great mixture of reggae beats combining with subtle DNB licks.
Baltimore-the Nina Simone single blew phones last week and this week./2
The Shrine of Afro Digital-Future Sounds form the mother
    Land-Kantiolis-Compartment-OCHO-
South African Hip Hop cant go wrong. 2
Rae & Christian -Sleepwalking- Wake UP Everybody featuring Bobby Womack-K7!-
I am not sure when this came out but I am glad that I have it now. The beats
and the guests that are on it are incredible. With Cameos by Pharcyde and
Bobby Womack this album is good for all the young bucks and old heads alike.
    Jimi Tenor-Out Of Nowhere-Warp-
One of the best albums to come out last year. I keep this one in the crate
because I never know when I can creep one of these gems out. Recorded with
an entire orchestra gives this album a feel that it should have come out in
    the early seventies.
Om Lounge 5- Altima- Builder- OM Recordings/2
