I've been really getting into Jay Alanski, the man
known as A Reminiscent Drive. His first EP "Flame One"
came out in May 1996 and received a lot of praise. Two
other EP's and a first album "Mercy Street" followed.
Three years later he dropped "Ambrosia."

Alanski definitely has instilled his own touch on
music. He uses neither sampler nor computer and comes
with the bare, organic downtempo. I can't get enough
of the track "Ambrosia" which appeared on the Hotel
Costas Estases (sp?) compiliation -- the first time I
    ever heard A Reminiscent Drive.

I really dig the different nuances he layers in
between tracks. The light scatting of a French woman.
The soft thumping of conga drums. Horns weaving in and
out. Also check "Two Sides To Every Story" -- another
song I've been playing a lot lately.

      Hope this helps ...
