    All you have to do is subscribe to Soundscan. I believe it's about $30,000
    per user.

    Labels are not all that keen on full disclosure here--they'd have to pay
    royalties based on any sales figure they give out, so if they can avoid
    giving out this info, they usually do...Also, there's sales, and then
    there's sales. Do you mean shipments to retailers? Shipments to retailers
    paid and not returned? Or Soundscan "actual" piece counts of retail sales?
