    sure thing, i use hardware and software (reason, acid, reaktor) together, i
    pick what i feel like ;)

    for starters, i agree, pick Reason if you're used to studio gear, or want to
    move into hardware studio stuff later on, as the interface is the same,
    otherwise fruityloops is a good alternative..
