Hey all, I know that many of you don't live in California, much less in
    the Los Angeles area, but...
as almost ALL of us must have heard by now, there are two VERY good shows
coming up next week. Gilles Peterson will be featured at Fai Do Do ballroom
on Saturday, July 28th and Seiji of the 2000 Black / Goya Music / West
London Scene will be at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood on Monday the
    30th.

Nope, I'm not personally doing either of these shows, but I will be at
each, as will many others reading this little missive I'd imagine. When I
do my next show (Mid-September) I'll certainly let you all know about it as
soon as the date is solidified.

The reason I'm writing is because I would really like to meet as many
of you guys as I can and these two shows seem to be a great opportunity for
that. Will anyone be going to either or both of these shows and if so, did
anyone want to perhaps meet up before or after the show and say 'Hey'?

In case you get bored and/or you go by yourself and feel like hanging
out be on the lookout for a hyper - active, tall, skinny, very light-skinned
Afro-Latin kid in Pumas, Jeans and a Yellow or Red thrift store dress shirt
(40's era). Don't worry, I don't plan what I'm going to wear to an event a
    week in advance, but... Well,
I always wear Pumas when I dance, I only wear jeans to clubs so I don't rip
the arse out of my trousers while dancing, (like I did earlier this season
at Coachella! ) and I already promised earlier to wear a yellow shirt so
people can find me. I'll be on be dancefloor all night so look for me
there. The reason I say it may be a Red shirt is because I can't wear the
same shirt to every show and I don't have too many yellow shirts from a
thrift store that I don't mind funking up on the dance floor.

Who knows, I may even buy the first person from the list to spot me a
drink or two. Really, I'm that sadly desperate to make friends. (I'm
kidding) Either way everyone in this area that does make it to one or both
of these shows. Have all the fun you can and we'll all talk about it later.

         Be well people,

         Jason Van Sugars
