I've been telling yall about this band for several months now.
We have been playing them on Soul-Patrol.Net Radio
(which is now broadcasting again at www.soul-patrol.net)
They are a GREAT band from the Washington DC area, and as they perform live in more venues, more people will be checking them out. Perhaps even "negro media" will pick up on them soon as well?
Looks like they are doing a small east coast tour and now they have a couple of web sites that you should all check out.
I am a BIG supporter of artists like this because they FLY IN THE FACE of the conventional wistom and the MIND CONTROL/FASCIST programming policies of "negro radio" who think that their audience isn't entitled to hear good music being played by artists who:
- play instruments
- sing songs
They are a "self contained band" with a sound similar to Mandrill, Living Colour, Brand New Heavies, etc
(I dig their groove)
