    LA's PULL sunday

2-step Garridge is alive & kicking in L.A., believe dat! Oh my gosh,
gosh, gosh!!!!!!! This night was runnin' hard, truss me. I couldn't
believe how cool this club was. The 360 bar & restaurant is on the
penthouse level of one of Hollywood's tallest buildings. The place is a
plush, hip, smooth, club looking over all of LA. The PULL crew (DJ/MC
Ameno, DJ T-Bird, and Markman) were hella cool, and very accomidating.
The night started with DJ TY (High Society/LA) playin a cool mix of
harder bassline tunes and smooth r&b steppers. The crowd was already
packed on the floor and having it. I went on at 11:15, to already full
grooving crowd and layed down some big classic tunes Glamma kid & Shola
Ama, De la Soul (MJ Cole mixes), and Corrupted Cru's Poison (ya know the
bel biv devoe tune!). That definitely blew the crowd up, as our very own
Elson Trinidad was upfront with the crowd callin' for a rewind. So, i
gladly gave it to them. It was weird , cuz I was MC-ing my own set. It
felt strange, but the crowd loved it. I'm a big mouth, I guess. :P I
also threw down some 4/4 floor jams by Sunship & Neresa Maye and the
crowd still didn't let up. Travellng through El-B, Craig David (Sunship
mix), Colourgirl, Kriminal Gangsta's remix of T-Boz, etc. I even did a
call & response deal kinda like Red Alert & Kid Capri do, the dancers
played along. Then my last few records were (Elson) E:Trinity's mix
Pinay's "Next time" and a cheeky lil' cover of "Hello" (yeah, the Lionel
Richie tune) by Jhay Palmer & MC Image. The other track Milkweed
probably thought was cheesey, but the crowd was feelin' it!!!!!

Then, the Pull Crew came on to do a 2 1/2 hr. set. They were
on-point!!!!!! Ameno rocked the mic like a true professional. T-Bird &
Markman tag-teamed, then Ameno slipped in for a few at the end. Nothin'
    but big tune pressure!!!!!!
The crowd went buckwild fo their local boys. Big tunes were Blu Cantrell
"Hit em up style", "Ce ce P.'s "Finally", and a bunch of tunes hard,
funky, soulful, and dubby. These guys were great dj's, hosts, and super
nice people!!!! BIG UP da PULL Crew. The 360 staff took care of me w/
many drink tickets, so I was happy, gettin my drink on. :P

Elson & Milkweed showed up to boogie, and hang out. Thanks fo the CD's,
    guys
My trip was awesome. I came back with 12 records (2step, broken beat, an
    soulful house).
    I was a happy stepper. :)

I did'nt get to play T-Bird's monday gig, cuz I had to comeback a day
early. Yeah, I missed Alex Attias, too. DAMN, IT!!! :(

    Tired, but feelin' good!
