    there's a nice show planned for tonight on BiS with special guest Saskai
    (and possibly Ranka) from the Echolounge, nyc. I'm definitely looking
    forward to it. tune in if you're around.

    Favorite EP at the moment ::: RJD2 with "June" on Def Jux. man, I keep
    playing this song over and over again. It's the acoustic guitar sample
    with that hint of spanish flavour that really gets me. the beat is nice
    and refreshing too from your usual hip-hop beat (lots more going on then
    just your usual 2 and 4 snare hit). the one other track on the EP is
    called "The Proxy." It's another nice one(which will probably get played
    tonight), and you can hear that RJD2 sampled Steve Reich's "Electric
    Counterpoint" for the track... so anybody who does that is okay in my
    book. hehe. (Electric Counterpoint is one of my favorite Steve Reich
    tracks)

    Beats in Space is broadcast every Thursday on 89.1 FM from 10:30pm to
    1:00am in the nyc tri-state area.
    check http://www.beatsinspace.net for the live real-audio broadcast,

    BiS weeklies:::
    tuesday's ::: 8pm at the bOb bar (on eldridge and houston) for the
    Gasface Re:fill party... hip-hop, reggae and nice beats provided by
    P-Love, San-Q, J-Smoke, Nine Lives, Tim S. and variuous guest DJ's. it's
    a nice little party, so stop by if you can.

    wednesday's ::: 7 to 10:00 pm at Plant Bar (E. 3rd st. between ave. B &
    C). guest DJ's weekly, and some really nice parties happen afterwards.
    *This party got written up in the Village Voice... check it out here :
    http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0128/clublist.shtml

    saturday's :::: new weekly at Lush (110 Duane St. in tribeca) from 10pm
    until I get too tired to play. should be a nice little thing. Lush is
    probably a little too fancy for my tastes (but I guess you'd expect that
    from a lounge in tribeca)... but I'll be filling the place with the BiS
    sounds, so it should be ok. we'll see.
