    just me in the studio tonight, but it should be a good show... the new
    Star Trek series "Enterprise" premiered last night with a 2 hours
    special, so I'm feeling pretty inspired to play some nice space beats
    (especially 'cause the theme music for the new show was so bad). I miss
    Captain Picard, but Scott Bakula from "Quannum Leap" should be a good
    captain.

    recommended records: Morgan Geist on Environ... heard Ulysses drop this
    on BiS a couple weeks ago, along with the Metro Area records on Environ
    (which I can't find anywhere). I really don't know how to describe the
    sound that Morgan Geist is creating(sorta' retro 80's synth pop, but
    not?) , but it's definitely new and fuckin good. it's worth a listen.

    BiS weeklies:::
    tuesday's ::: 9pm at the bOb bar (on eldridge and houston) for the
    Gasface Re:fill party... hip-hop, reggae and nice beats provided by
    P-Love, San-Q, J-Smoke, Nine Lives, Tim S. and variuous guest DJ's. it's
    a nice little party, so stop by if you can.

    wednesday's ::: 7 to 10:00 pm at Plant Bar (E. 3rd st. between ave. B &
    C). guest DJ's weekly, and some really nice parties happen afterwards.
    *This party got written up in the Village Voice... check it out here :
    http://www.villagevoice.com/issues/0128/clublist.shtml

    saturday's :::: at Lush (110 Duane St. in tribeca) from 10pm until I
    get too tired to play. should be a nice little thing. Lush is probably a
    little too fancy for my tastes (but I guess you'd expect that from a
    lounge in tribeca)... but I'll be filling the place with the BiS sounds,
    so it should be ok. we'll see.
