Missed them in SF, but, got their latest album on Blue Note
"Universalist" that has a much better groove than "The Dropper" I do
agree with Steve that their naval gazing wanderings have recently
lost the groove--or at least a the last concert I saw with them. The
new album has one cool track that starts out with this wicked groove,
that then is scratched. It was on vinyl. I like how it all, samples
and 'live', intertwine. But, I did read a review that felt it was
more a product of their producer rather than the band.
