    Hi Tom,
I would try Amoeba which is in the Haight at 1855 Haight. If you want to
visit one of the all-time great stores and you have a way of getting out to
Mill Valley, then look for Village Records, for vinyl fans a real treat but
an all-round great stop on the road to record nirvana! its at 9 E.
Blithedale Ave and the phone number is 415-388-7400. If you get over to
Berkeley then check out the original Amoeba which is also a treat and look
for rasputing where i have found some rare and collectible stuff by poring
through the racks and shelves! Aquarius in SF is on the top level, it's at
1055 Valencia and the phone number is 415-647-2272, I also like Cosmic Disc
which is at 1754 Polk Str (415-674-0210) Streetlight is a pretty good chain
and they have a couple of outlets in SF, one of which is at 3979
    24th(415-282-8000)
    happy hunting!
