I think the only obvious thing is that the people on
this list listen to music. That's about it. I don't
feel any special bonds if someone else also liked
stuff that I use to. It really makes no difference in
my book if you like or dislike something.

I think it's rather obvious that most of the people
    would have some eclectic tastes.

I admit that I have liked many things over the years,
that doesn't mean I'm interested in concentrating
discussion on a certain decade of music. If I wanted
to talk about 80s music, I would be on an 80s music
chat list. In case you haven't noticed there's been a
    80s nostalgia everywhere you look.

I've been there, done that, and with regards to music
I prefer to look forward not backwards.

I think people come to it from every direction.

Or maybe they just tripped alot and it sounded cooler
    than it really was.

I think it could be said that all music owes a great
deal to the past. And sure many artists get there
samples and even inspiration from artists of the past.
      Rather obvious stuff...yadda yadda yadda

    Seems irrelevant to me.
Yes, I'm interested in the music discussed on this
list. I'm not particularly interested on everyone
    roadmap how they got here.

Uh..ok. i'll just delete the rest of this thread, for
fear of finding out what kind of snack treats our moms
all packed for us in the 80s.
