    hey, just wanted to comment and say this soul jazz compilation("In the
    beginning there was rhythm") is great... definitely worth the money.
    I've been playing it on Beats in Space for the past couple weeks and
    lovin it. a really nice lesson in the post-punk, new wave scene.

    also, re: go-go music... check out a really nice book by Kip Lornell and
    Charles Stephenson called "The Beat: Go-Go's Fusion of Funk and
    Hip-Hop." if you want info on go-go, this is a good start. my favorite
    artists : Chuck Brown and the Soul Searchers, Trouble Funk, Kurtis Blow
    did a go-go track called "Party Time," E.U. aka Experience Unlimited,
    and Rare Essence to name a few.
