This is Scott Fugate, the Jazz Evangelist from 89.1 WBCX in Gainesville (NE
    Atlanta, N. Georgia) --
    http://www.brenau.edu/sbmc/masscomm/wbcx/DrJazz.htm

I am likewise the founder and moderator of the Atlanta Jazz e-group --
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Atlantajazz

If you are a musician, a singer, a poet, a manager, a promoter, a producer or
even a fan of music living, working or recording in the Southeastern US --
then this e-mail applies to you. If not, then please forward it to anyone it
    might apply to.

You may, or may not, know that I have been featuring local artists (from
Atlanta, as well as throughout Georgia, and states surrounding the Southeast)
on my Friday night program, "Jazz in the Present Tense" from 8:00 to 10:00
    PM.

If you have any music you would like for me to feature, or suggest that I
feature, please contact me at this return address:
    JAZZevangelist@aol.com

You can likewise send demo tapes, CD's, promo packets, press kits, etc., to:
    J. Scott Fugate
    1258 Minhinette Dr.
    Roswell, GA 30075

What kind of music am I looking for?
Jazz . . . in any and all of it's glorious incarnations and permutations
(rag, blues, gospel, dixieland, hot, swing, big band, cool bop, hard bop,
traditional, straight ahead, free, fusion, funk, r & b, latin, brazilian,
afro-cuban, smooth, groove, world beat, hip-hop, trip-hop, ambient and even
electro, down tempo, trance, neo-soul, london soul or acid jazz.)

I have been featuring 1 to 9 tracks per artist -- based on how much material
there is to choose from; the quality and diversity of the artist; the
appropriateness of the music for my listening audience. . .and whether or not
my station manager approves of it.

I have been at this for several months now, and have already done several
shows featuring local artists. . .but I am abysmally behind in posting my
    playlist.

To view the playlist of the artist I featured last fall -- please visit:
    http://groups.yahoo.com/group/AtlantaJazz/files/Jazz%20in%20the%20Present%20Te

    nse%20Playlist.htm

(Something is wrong with the formatting on Yahoo. The files for the playlist
-- as well as the individual artists posted in the e-group -- were nicely
formatted when posted. . .but everything changed after they were posted. Go
    figure.)

I haven't finished or posted the playlist for those I've featured in Jan &
    Feb. yet.
Be patient. . .I'm working on it. . .in my spare time. . .which is a rare
selection of disparate moments each week.

I'm presently featuring artists alphabetically. . .and I'm currently up to
    "G".
If I haven't featured you (or your favorites) yet -- be patient. . .the
alphabetical ascendancy shall continue until everyone has been featured.

Please check the list below, and let me know if I have left out any artists,
