I'm Stefano Corradino, press office of Dinnerjazz Orvieto Festival.
I'm sorry to have not communicated to you the recently news about the concerts, but this year we have just changed the formula and transformed "dinnerjazz" in "dinnermusic", a festival of "music and food" opened to different genres, blues, ethnic, brazilian, celtic, folk and world music, not only based on jazz.
Some times ago I wrote to you that we were working at the realization of a big international jazz "portal", in which the jazz artists, famous and not, could find a privileged place on the web to be known, to sell CDs, to be booked for concerts and festivals in Italy and all around the world.
The jazz site is nearly ready.
We spent all the year to visit on the web all international jazz sites and worked to organize an editorial office (realized by italian national journalists) and to create a complete and better jazz daily newspaper. The difference between this web site and the other ones is that we want to give special prominence to the famous and "unknown" artists, giving to you the opportunity to manage and also personally bring up to date your pages, inserting photos, news about the concerts, the components of the band.. Without any cost!
So, if you agree, we would like to have from you, some materials, that you send us through email:
- 1 photo
- a biography in twenty lines - in english and Italian (if it's possible)
- 1 audio file (mp3)
And if you like, you can send us new CDs or tapes to the office's address of our jazz portal.
Someone of you has already sent us some biographies, photos and CDs. If you want you can send us your new Cds or new demo productions.
However, even though you don't want to send Cds or tape, we ask you, if you consider our project interesting, to send us through your e mail the material I talked about before (1 photo, the biography in 20 lines, 1 audio file -Mp3 -).
Our project is not only referred to the web: in this town, Orvieto that is become famous in the world with Umbria Jazz Winter festival, we are creating a jazz club, with the purpose to organize concerts and jazz events in Orvieto and in other Jazz Clubs in Italy and Europe. And we could decide together, in a following moment, to market your CDs.
We have choosen a particular name for our jazz big web site: Alljazzera, that we have record one week ago. That very same evening more than two hundreds people were connected to see it, also because italian and internation press was curiosly for its original name. Alljazzera is a name with an undoubted commercial strength, because it's similar to the name of Al Jazeera, the Tv become famous with Afghanistan's war.
In reality, obviously, the name of our portal Alljazzera means "all the era (history) of jazz".
