    Hi,
The show is aired on KCRW out of Santa Monica College in Santa Monica, CA.
Go to www.kcrw.org and perhaps you can find the information you need. They
are a NPR station. (National Public Radio)

Although sometimes a station has to PAY for a syndicated show, othertimes
the owners of a particular show may be trying to air their show on as many
stations as possible in exchange for airtime....meaning, your station plays
the show and you give up a certain amount of "inventory" (commercial time)
where they themselves sell the advertising and air it on your station. Being
as Giles Peterson's show is on a NPR station, they may not sell airtime so
I'm not sure what the exchange is. Either way, find out what their deal is
by asking. They may ask you these questions.....
    1) Are you a commercial or public radio station? (Profit or
    not-for-profit?)
    2) How many WATTS is your station?
    3) What is your coverage area? (What geographical area does your station
    broadcast to?)
    4) Do you have ratings in your market? (Arbitron ratings)
    5) How many listeners do you have?
    6) What are your demographics?

If you give them the answers to these questions (and perhaps others they may
have), perhaps you will give them the "right" answers. It's all about
exposure for them, and ultimately $$ for someone.

Give it a shot. Don't be afraid. The worst answer you could hear is "no",
but perhaps they'll say "yes". It's OK if you tell them that you're not sure
how syndication works. It'll be a good learning experience.

Best of Luck to you. I've been in radio for 14 years and am happy to share
my knowledge about broadcasting with any of my Sisters.
