    steel city massive & friends,

element 5 would like to let you know we've made a
    massive update to our website:

    http://www.elementfive.info

Most people might know of us as the collective who put
on the Momentum events in the city's east end -
evenings of live improv underground soul music [you
can check the full audio recordings and pics on our
    website].

We call these nights "Momentum" because we feel there
is an untapped source of potential energy ready to
seep up from beneath the surface. Our evenings are a
celebration and invocation of that potential. Many
people have been surprised to learn that the
performances at Momentum are often completely
unrehearsed [in most case completely spontaneous]. The
idea that a group of musicians & creative people of
different influences & persuasions can gather [often
meeting for the very first time] and create such a
warm vibration is something we feel can be applied to
    much more than just music.

element 5 is based on the following concept:

                .
              . . .
           . . . . .
    A . . . . . B
            .. . . .
           . . . ...
               . .

Say you want to build a bridge from A to B, with "A"
representing where you are and "B" representing where
    you want to go.

Bridges require specific structures, the most
    important being its foundations.

The bridge you build from A to B will depend upon the
elements [e.g. the dots between A and B] you choose to
    create your foundations.

The more elements you include as part of your base
structure [or should we say bass], the stronger the
    bridge connecting A and B.

Build inter-connections & reinforcements between the
elements and that bridge will sustain itself no matter
what forces try to knock it down.

Now, you could use concrete and steel as the
foundation for your bridge [i.e. build more Acme
    Depot's and McFranchises].

Or, if you choose, you can build your bridge upon a
fluid intersection of people, places, spaces, and
ideas, creating a truely dynamic community of creative
forward driven people bold enough to explore outside
    the "big box".

Do the math and you will discover an almost infinitely
large potential of creativity and innovation
    underneath the city of bridges.

this is the philosophy behind Momentum and element 5.

We thank you for your support of independent culture.
Your feedback is very important to us. Feel free to
drop us a line any time. We hope to see you at our
next Momentum event on Saturday, August 3rd @ The
    Quiet Storm.

    Keep your good vibes strong!
