Got an interesting group on the show. They go by the name of FEARLESS
VAMPIRE KILLERS, and these guys are on some next level hip hop shit.
Comprised of a beat composer (Count Rockula), bassist (Dave), and one ill
MC (Lucas Costello), FVK take more of a theatrical approach to
performance, all the while hittin you with some truly deeeeeeeep thinking
ideas. We wanted to do a live thing with them on the air, but equipment
limitations ...well, limit us, so we'll be chatting it up with the boys
and playing some sneak previews of their material. As with any MC that
swings through, rest assured that some impromptu mic niceness may occur.
Check them out tomorrow night (Thurs July 18) down at the HOOCH for 'In
Divine Style' (817 Queen St. W, just above Gypsy Co-Op). Performing
alongside our Fearless Vampire Killers will be some martial artists doing
sword dance and artists working live visuals and beats. Yes, all this at
a hip hop show. Peformance slated to begin at 10:30 PM, so reach early!

Speaking of 'In Divine Style', mad love to Alexis, Mindbender, Eternia,
Sunny D, and all the peoples who reached down last Thursday for
'She-Style'. Dalia and I had so much fun lacing up beats for the
freestylers and vocalists that came out...so many talented ladies in the
city! And props to all those producers that came running over to the
booth, CD-R in hand, chatting about their beats. Some nice shit! Be on
the lookout for 'She-Style' every 2nd Thurs of the month.
And love to those peeps for swinging through BEST KEPT last Wednesday
night...watch out for Sunny D...like Jem, she's truly outrageous.

Due to drunken haziness after the show last week, I believe I misplaced
the playlist. Looks like I'm gonna have to sew string to it and lace it
through my jacket like those kiddie mittens so I don't lose it.

'RESPECT', going down at IT (167 Church St.). Guaranteed a good time on

til laaaaaaate (or hit dal up for a free befor 12:30am pass)
Also, this Sunday down at Cherry Beach, Dalia will be lacing up the decks
with some dirty house sounds for the now-infamous PROMISE BEACH PARTIES
that go down every Sunday. Starts at 2PM and goes til 11 PM with all
sorts of deck selectahs. Should be nice and it's a great way to get some

W at Peter). This week we welcome special guest DJ SHANDY from out West

(strictlysteppers), with residents Chocolate (sweetdubbygoodness) and
