Abstract/Downtempo/Leftfield: Fila Brazillia's "A Touch Of Cloth" gets
reissued this week on (triple) vinyl, Florida's Greg Long tales a break
from recording tracks for Instinct and drops a nice new downtempo EP
entitled "Vitamin C" on his own Citrona label, new 7" on Blow It Hard
from the James Taylor Quartet, full length CD from Lipitone on Fredric
Galliano's Frikiwa label, and Soul Jazz's "Studio One DJ's" compilation
is in this week.
Beats 'N' Breaks: New breakstep single "Bubblegum" from Aka on Narcotix,
hard breaks 12" by C-83 called "Neptune" featuring a remix by
Freakaboom's Kraymon, two new 12"s from DJ Quest (one on Unstable Breaks
and one on Pulse), new Meat Katie 12" fetauring Elite Force and Phil
Kieran remixes of "Next Life", DJ Zinc's Runnin' label drops a new 12"
by The Nine called "Diverse", and a new Kilowatt single by Terminalhead.
Drum & Bass: Two new drum & bass singles from John Tejada (one from the
UK's Sonikore and one on Germany's Krush Grooves), new Ray Keith "Jah
Dread" double 12" on Dread, new Penny Black double 12" by Stormtroopers
& Delta, a Rareform remix of Sugababes "Soul Sounds", new Total Science
single on CIA called "You Make Me Feel Remix", and a new drum & bass
compilation "Big Rewind" compiled and mixed by Nicky Blackmarket.
Hip Hop: Ghostface Killah's classic debut album "Ironman" comes back in
on a German vinyl reissue.
House: Aaliyah's "Rock The Boat" remixed by Doug Lazy, more copies of
the Ashley Beedle disco re-edit 12" "Tumbacara", Brazilian influenced
house 12" by Baccara on France's Nice Music and featuring a remix by
Nick Nice and Brad Synergy, new Voodoo 12" by Ben Horn called "Stripped
Down", latest Big Bear EP (now up to Volume 8) featuring some more tasty
disco re-edits, new Chilli Funk 12" by Black 2 Basic, DJ Cam's latest
album "Soulshine" now in on CD, new remix white label featuring 4
different Daft Punk mash up remixes, new house mix album from Francois K
on Azuli entitled "Choice", Illicit rework U2's "With Or Without You" on
their latest remix 12", new Missive 12" by Lanoiraude and remixed by
Charles Webster, new Rotax 12" by Mr. Day, tasty house single on Play by
Peace Harvest getting played by Gilles Peterson & Phil Asher, and Stevie
Nicks gets the remix treatment on a new white label that reworks the
Fleetwood Mac classic "Dreams".
Nu Jazz/Broken Beat: The debut album from Agent K (aka Kaidi Tatham)
"Feed The Cat" in this week on CD (vinyl next week) from Laws Of Motion,
the Tarantulas new album on Internal Bass, new CD compilation "Kindai
Tek" from Japan's Bambola Recordings with Calm, Shiba, and more, and the
new "Off Limits 3 Part A" 12" single in this week.
2-Step/UK Garage: More copies of the Adam K "Feel It" 12" on Gush with
the Maddslinky (aka Zed Bias) remix, Germany's Herb LF (of the Gush
Collective) & Cyron have a new 12" called "Clubnite" on Lo-File Selecta
(who put out Nordstadt Union), a new Horsepower Productions single
"Smokin'" out on Tempa, the latest Kristine Blond 12" from a few weeks
back with Daniel Bedingfield and Dubaholics remixes gets listed up, and
two new 12"s by Texan J. Mundo.
