    it's about the northern era of his: when he was around the states hunting
    for records, he went only for northern soul. he didn't care much about the
    funk he found back then. he gave many super rare funk 45's away for almost
    free. methionks he got bitten by the funk bug in the eighties when got a bit
    fed up with the northern scene. in his sets he still plays northern as well,
    so he has never abandined it totally. i guess when you're deep into northern
    it's a commitment for life, whatever other interests you may pursue in
    between.:)

    well in keb's case, what interwiews i've read , he is strictly into 6ts-7ts
    soul aqnd funk and thinks that all contemporary music in whatever genre -
    with very very little exceptions - is complete crap. and avoiding a flame
    war: that's mr. darge's opinion, _not_ mine.
