Was browsing through Kirk Degiorgio's excellent Hall of Fame
(goto kirkdegiorgio.com) and found an album there by the 80's
Ladies, produced by Roy Ayers. Managed to find one of the tracks
on audiogalaxy (i'm turned on to you) which is ace.
So does anybody know much about Roy Ayers' Uno Melodic label,
which this lp was released on? Is there a history of it on the web?
There's also a tune on that album called 'tell him'. i presume this is
the same tune that mr ayers did a version of recently. Has
anybody heard the 80's ladies version? Is it good? better than the
new version? Better than the Bugz in the Attica remix with the
fearsome baseline?
So many questions...
