my early november t-table top joints:

nightmares on wax - date with destiny (warp lp track)
    - finally purchased the new nights lp, this one has struck me the most so
far. a wicked floating tune with fine as hell vox from miss chyna b.

nu people - i'd be nowhere today (venture 7")
    - a coffey/theodore prod. midtempo funk track from detroit, late 6ts.
includes a rather odd drum break with steel pan sounds. wicked!

medaphoaar - place your bet (stones throw 7")
stones throw is the hip hop label currently. madlib deserves all the props
    he's gettin'.

didier sound spectrum - impuls (timmion 7")
a bit jazzier/more psychedelic cut from finland's finest! didier - the finn
    top producer!

kokolo - donkey pt 2 (afro kings 7")
    - nottingham u.k. hits hard with a tough but jazzy afrobeat tune!

digable planets - black ego (pendulum lp track)
    - a classic track from a classic album.

el michels affair - easy access pts 1&2 (soul fire 12")
    - jazzy and dopey funk excursion from n.y's toughest!

quiet daze - being quiet (transmat 12")
    - this ian pooley prod. brilliant cut has been hiding too long in my record
shelves. luckily i found it again! brilliant deep techno.

dextrous - the way it is - hip hop soul mix (cup of tea 12")
    - a 1997 'trip hop' - i hate that word, right? - tune from bristol's (?) dj
dextrous. again a forgotten item in my shelves that's popped back.

mr. scruff - champion nibble (ninja tune 7")
    - cool instrumental funk. also, the a side 'beyond' with seaming isn't too
bad either. btw, how is his 'trouser jazz' long player? for some reason i
    haven't purchased it yet?

    -----

nightmares on wax - mind elevation lp
    - 'smoker's delight' will always be _the_ nights' lp for me, but i happen to
like this one a lot as well. much better than carboot soul anyway. soulful,
    floaty, beautiful, you name it!

    keep on truckin,
