Cheers to Landslide last week for gracing the decks at Granny which was fraught with sound system problems totally beyond my control last thursday (sorry)Been sorted now so catch Dan Jordan playing his usual jazzual selection of chosen beauties this thursday. There are cheeky Bite Your Granny Stickers to be had so if you're up for a tad of public poster defacing then e mail me and ill send some over ! Saturday saw me on a 6 hour train journey to Newquay accompanied on the train by the lovely Quantic who was spinning in Penzance ....much speed talk about rare funk 7's,catalogue numbers, odd vinyl releases which helped pass a otherwise long journey with remarkable quickness.Respects to Griff & his girlfriend Suzie who got me to spin at Jelly Jazz Newquay.Ram ma damma ding dong and a well up for it 300 strong crowd.Awesome ! Monday was activity day hooking up okino san for some food n laff frivolities with alex attias/forge baby sha nanigans then onto Bar Rumba where Yoshihiro & co(kyoto Jazz Massive,Jimbo & Ben Wilcox )rocked this long standing monday nighter.managed to hang on and foot shuffle till 4am with dem funny & talented koop boys from sweden in the house and the lovely (seiji, are you reading ?? )Yukimi Nagano.Ho Hum.....Take care if you see her wearing a cap...she'll have your bloody eye out ! Tuesday saw the launch of the new Music & Movement night at The Fridge Bar in Brixton....I was kinda blown away as not only was the venue full but mannnn......a whole array of jazz dancers came down to show support and more twists than a Bill Hayley convention. The launch saw Jazz Fm radio personalities Mike Chadwick and the very lovely Helen Mayhew dropping Jazz bombs aplenty.Trust me...it was  a case of Dingwalls deja vu...lets hope we see you all down there next week as Im joined by the very lovely Nigel Nice Hair for a nu jazz/old jazz mash up.After last night you'd be forgiven for thinking that Tuesday night was the start of the weekend.....
