The much anticipated 3rd season of Wahoo! has started and well received!
And what a party it was last Saturday – the dancefloor was packed &
burnin’! It was nice to see again our regulars and also lots of new faces
who came and enjoyed. Check out our resident charts to see some of the
baddest tunes spinning at Wahoo! in August. As usual, take a look at the
Left of Helsinki chart for the best of the latest.

Next time in Wahoo! Sat 6/9: We bring you an exclusive live gig of the Five
Corners Quintet feat. Eero Koivistoinen (sax) and Severi Pyysalo (vibes).
There has been a lot of buzz around this new Helsinki based jazz-for-the-
dancefloors styled group throughout the year and I can’t imagine a better
place to hear and see them performing live for the first time than club
Wahoo! After the live set DJ Go-Go Antti (Head of the Ricky-Tick recs. and
one of the driving forces behind the FCQ) spins the records with the
    resident DJs. Can’t wait!

If you’re in Finland and wish to make sure to get in next time, buy your
tickets (8 eur) in advance from ticket service Lippupiste: tel. +358-(0)600-
    900900 (0,95 eur/min+pvm).

The second Wahoo! in September (Sat 20/9) : The man with a deep passion for
the land of the rising sun - DJ Nik Weston (Mukatsuku, Jazzrooms Brighton,
Onwards International London, + e.g. Night Out in London, Music & Movement,
    and Moshi Moshi compilations).

On behalf of the rest of the Leftside Ensemble crew,
    Vesa
