    hard to go wrong in SF. one suggestion would be to pick up issue #62 of
    XLR8R mag which had a guide to SF of sorts. pretty useful. otherwise
    here are a few of my favorites:
    Groove Merchant, 687 Haight: this one needs no intro, just ask the Beasties
    Tweekin' Records, 593 Haight: little bit of everything quality, with
    good house releases on their own label and wide variety of genres in the
    backroom.
    BPM, 573 Hayes: house music all night long, baby. the original SF
    house emporium and still the best.
    after hitting these three, I'm usually well out of money, but there's at
    least a half-dozen more.
