STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.html (see below for times)

    Hello all

Last weeks mix from Quantic was recorded live in Scotland and blended funky
contemporary sounds including a number of his new productions and remixes
with some old school funk flavour. As a recording artist, Quantic has been
quite prolific with 2 albums out on Tru Thoughts, and a Quantic Soul
Orchestra album to come (should have that this week). He's also been showing
quite a talent for remixes of late, and we should also have his excellent
remix of Future Loop Foundation soon on the show.

I also had the chance to feature what has quickly become one of my favourite
labels in the Trainspotters' Corner segment. Mad Mats' Raw Fusion label
continues its run of quality with a forthcoming 12" from Stockholm producer
Beatfanatik. Last week I played the track "Jogando Capoeira" after being
nagged by the sample's familiarity for a few weeks. It turned out to be a
fabulous old Brazilian record which I do not, unfortunately, own the
original. But funnily enough it comes from a Swedish compilation of
Brazilian music, one of my recent favourites, Via Brazil. The track was Zito
    Righi's "Birimbau".

OK this week we have the return of Snorre Seim and Butti 49 with a 48 minute
    mix direct from Norway.

    until then
    Ennio Styles
