Just in from Koop at the El Rey (Los Angeles). Very enjoyable show, albeit
short. Definitely worth checking out if/when they come your way on tour.
Generally love their sound and Yukimi's vocals, but I think having the live
band made all the difference in the world. They pulled a great crowd,
including a certain C.S.I. cast member, former Janet Jackson video star, who
seems to frequent the El Rey (anyone know, does he live in the
neighborhood?). In addition to the music, I must say, I most appreciate that
I only had to walk three blocks from home to get there! Any other listees
make it out? Anyone planning to check out the Stone's Throw show (Madlib,
Peanut Butter Wolf) there on the 15th?

    (Miracle Mile)

p.s. They didn't wear those ridiculous DRESSES from the album cover.
