STYLIN - Rare grooves, hi-tech jazz and other worldly fusions
Friday afternoons 12-2pm RRR 102.7FM, Melbourne
Live online - http://www.rrr.org.au/index2.html (see below for times)

    Hello all

Last week's playlist just in time for today's show. Well if his mix for
Stylin was an indication, then many of you will want to be checking out Tom
Wieland's radio show Trans Europa Express. The blend of hip hop, R&B,
uptempo jazz beats and Cuban classics suited me just fine. Many of you will
know of Tom through his production projects Les Gammas, Panoptikum and
Difusora which also involve Marc Frank and Jochen Selfert in various
permutations and combinations. Les Gammas from Compost Records managed a
rare feat by having 2 tracks in my Best of 2000 radio show. More recent
output has involved remixes including some great Panoptikum remixes for the
RTB Big Band (from Cosmic Sounds Remixed) and Butti 49's classic "Spiritual
Rotations". Another remix for Cosmic Sounds is also in the works.

Today's show will feature the superbly titled "Pathless Soulful
International Mayhem Radio Show Vol 1" by Gerd & DJ Pathless from 4Lux
Recordings in the Netherlands. They say that it's not a DJ mix but a show
reel of jazz-funk, soul, library, bossa, hip hop and classical where they
have made different versions of some tracks, crazy mixes between tracks and
overlaying 3 tracks at once. Hopefully, I'll be able to send around their
wonderful commentary on each track with the playlist too.

    until then
    Ennio Styles
