Greetings folks. This weeks show features a guest spot from Russ
Dewbury. A hot set of jazzy nuggets with plenty of choice selections
from the new Mitchell and Dewbury project, "Rappin' with the Gods". This
LP is an essential blend of 21st Century soul, cosmic funk and deep
jazz. Other highlights include 'the world is yours' by the Visioneers, a
smoking latin rock monster, Terry Callier on Disorient, and a little
    drumagick from Brazil.

    Some info on Mr. Dewbury:
Dewbury is one of the UK's original Jazz DJs preaching his musical
gospel worldwide since the mid 80s. He is the sole power behind the
world famous Jazz Rooms, host of one of Britain's longest running club
sessions, attracting aficionados from the farthest corners of the earth
with its unique blend of club jazz, underground funk and Afro-Latin
rhythms mixed together with the current musical mores. Over the years,
just about everybody in the scene has manned the decks here. Luminaries
include Gilles Peterson, Baz Fe Jazz, Paul Murphy and guests from all
over the world such as Rainer Truby, Kyoto Jazz Massif, Espen Horne, Mr.
Hermano and a cast of thousands. Legendary US keyboardist Weldon Irvine
was moved upon a rare visit to describe the Rooms as "...an
    international brotherhood."

Dewbury is also one of Britain's leading antiquarians of black music.
His compilations of forgotten treasures, carefully dusted down and
lovingly restored, have become must-own material for music lovers
everywhere. He has worked with such jazz luminaries as Art Blakey,
Pharoah Sanders and also folk-jazz legend Terry Callier, whom Dewbury
    managed.
