    Greetings,

I'm happy to report that Andy Carthy - aka Mr.
Scruff, will be joining us this evening for a
chat and guest DJ set and if we're lucky, DJ
Spinna may show up as well. Both are in town to
promote the Verve Remixed 2 album and are kicking
off the U.S. tour here in San Francisco. Andy has
promised to bring along some previously unheard
goodies so we should be in for a real treat.
Scruff and Spinna appear Wednesday night at
Mezzanine and we'll be giving away tickets for
    the event.

I don't suppose there will be time for much new
material from my bag of tricks, but I'll try and
slip in something from the new Meitz and LTJ
X-perience albums, along with recent singles by
Deyampert, Sandboy, Volcov & Paradox, Xantoné
    Blacq and Moodymann.

We'll also have tickets for the Gotan Project
show at the Fillmore on Friday, as well as
legendary funk-meisters Mandrill at the Great
American Music Hall, appearing as part of the SF
Funk Festival. I caught Mandrill's set last year
during the festival and they were positively
    smoking!

I hope you'll tune in for the festivities.

    Ciao for now,
    David
