    NEWS
Finally, we've managed (we hope) to get the addresses of our subscribers on the new server functional and running. All of the addresses from the previous host have been transferred to the new host. We should be good to go! Please email me if you are receiving duplicate messages, or wish to be removed or added to the list.

Last week's show is now online. Check the playlist and the audio links toward the bottom.

New reviews are online in the Reviews section of the web site. The reviews include two remixes of Truby Trio's "Universal Love" on a 12" from Compost, an EP from the band Flowriders with two tasty remixes (as well as two very nice orignals from the band) forthcoming on 4Lux, Koop's new remix album with previously-released vinyl favorites as well as new remixes, a terrific debut from NY's The Beat Kids (fronted by drummer Guillermo Brown of the David S. Ware band), the forthcoming Heavenly Social remix EP on the dope 4Lux label, and a spot-on debut long-player from Al-Haca Soundsystem that's soon to come on Different Drummer. A compendium of October reviews will be in the circular in about two weeks' time.

SOUL INVASION AT CLUB SLO BREW
Very good news on the clubbing front. Soul Invasion will be moving on to the SLO Brewing Company, affectionately known as SLO Brew. The place has the largest dance floor in San Luis Obispo, and a big sound system to boot. Our thing is funk and soul, past and present. We're the only club night in town that will be specializing in funk and soul, and we have some great DJs spinning the goods:

    - Velanche (KCPRs Urban Landscapes)
    - Malik Miko (KCBX's Night Train)
    - DJ Calyx (KCPR's WEFUNK)
    - Armatronix
Soul Invasion will be a monthly event, so I'm quite pleased with that. We hope to see lots of you funksters at our first date at SLO Brew, which will start at 10:00pm on Wednesday October 29. It's a 21-and-over event, and admission is free before 11pm. After 11pm, there's a small cover charge of $3. So get your grooves on and come support all things funky and soulful in San Luis Obispo!
