Steve from the mighty mga checking in from the downtown standard in
    beautiful los angeles.... (sukkas!!!)

Got some new discs today and had a chance to preview them at a very nice
    studio....

AMP FIDDLER: Get this one. I put this cat firmly ahead of all the
other's in his genre, w. the possible exception of d'angelo. Yeah, it's
like that. But, the thing is, the cat's doing it more or less all by
himself. All around super talent right here.

BLUE NOTE REVISITED: Get this one too, just to hear what Dego did w. a
track from what might be considered the corniest period of the great
Horace Silver's illustrious career. (Or Bugz in the Attic. UnbeLEEEvable
what a hot track. What about Kenny Dope... even Madlib steps it up
here... this is a VERY VERY good comp, it hangs together really well,
which can't always be said... there are a lot of quality tracks, and I
personally put this way, WAY ahead of Verve 1 and 2, Phonography 1 and
2, and Shades of Blue. I really really love this longplayer.

BEANFIELD: Oh man, this might be the hippest one yet. Got turned on to
this by the wonderful Steph 99, who, experience shows, knows everything
about the tunes... Very, VERY interesting record, what with the 5's and
7's busting out at ya from every direction, all sounding very
natural.... This is a head nodder that really gets the heads nodding.

MARC DE CLIVE LOWE: Melodious beats right here. Maybe the most talented
guy out there right now, what with the Rhodes, the programming, the
writing... But, great as he is, he still manages to get better w. each
track, seems like. What can u say about this guy? Seems like the one to
watch, in spite of the Berkeley training and all that!!!

    PEACEOUT!
